Location - between Sai Ying Pun and Shueng Wan. Not that convenient lugging suitcases
There are lots of local Chinese and Cantonese restaurants, and 10-15 mins walk to mid levels/SoHo areas.

Staff @ reception - courteous but could be warmer.
House keeping staff - very friendly and accommodating

Room - we got a free upgrade. So the room was huge.
Beds - comfortable and felt fresh.
Bathroom - clean

Wifi - mostly good and connected, but no moments when signal dropped.

Washer and dryer on level 3, very helpful. But token from reception counter. Free detergent, packed next to washing machine.

Will come back to this.

Good location with tram stop right in the front of the building. Not as full on as kooloon island. Not as noise. I have been staying at other hotels in hong kong for double the price and half the size.
Big window with enough sun light, double block out curtain and massive king size bed. Love it

The hotel itself is showing its age. Room had great amount of storage, but weren't super clean. Hair and sticky areas around the room from past guests. The bed was hard, but serviceable. As a king size bed, they just pushed 2 twin beds together. Great WiFi. Front desk staff were more interested in their computers than on assisting guests.

The rooms are stocked with convenient items such as refrigerator, microwave, electric tea kettle, 2 mugs, 2 spoons/forks/butter-knives, and 2 bowls. No plates, dish soap, or kitchen towel. The cleaning staff did wash the dishes when they clean the room though. No ice available in the hotel, or any of the shops nearby. I had an injury so bought some frozen peas and that worked great for icing my foot!

Bathroom had 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels, no wash cloths. They provide a combined shampoo/conditioner, and a liquid bath soap. No hand soap. No exhaust fan so the humidity from showering just stays in the room. The tile grout, caulking, and shower curtain were mildewed because of all of the extra humidity.

Hotel location was good, but a little tricky to find as the entrance is a hallway between stores. About 10 feet back in the hallway is a glass door that is the entrance to the hotel. MTR (train/subway) station is two blocks away, and several bus lines and a trolley have stops across the street from the hotel. Walking distance from the ferry piers too. Starbucks is a block away, which makes for a nice breakfast option.

In a winning formula, the hotel offered an upgrade to a suite on check-in. The extra beds were helpful in putting up a friend who swung by HK to visit. The suite was large, with heaps of storage and a small kichenette. There was even a sliver of a view to the Harbour in between the towers. The self-service laundry and limited gym were also useful perks for a solo traveller. Whilst located in Central, getting to it involved a few tram stops or a short walk from the Metro. There wasn't too much in the area to keep a traveller entertained without heading off elsewhere. It was very handy to the HK-Macau Ferry Terminal though. Overall it was clean, comfortable and spacious.
