I should give them an award for the lousiest service hotel in HK. Enter the room to find a strand of hair hanging by the toilet bowl. Showed the front desk the photo, he looked at me and replied: “it’s only a hair”
Wow, it’s only a hair? What kind of standard is their housekeeping. Also informed the front desk that there is no wifi for my floor and room. I have to use other floor wifi and the reply was “I will look into it”.
Came back after three hours later, the hair is still clinging to the toilet bowl and I still have to leech on other floor wifi. I also experienced more things: The air in the room is stale and filled with cigarette smoke smell. The shower rose and rain shower could not alternate but come on together when the tap is turned on. Never before I experienced such pathetic service for my hotel stays in Hong Kong.

Terrible hotel experiences. Round the toilet it was dirty and was not well clean by the housekeeping attendant. Then, i found the kettle was with water inside. I went down to reception and expressed the situation and your staff went to 9A with room check and she said the room was well clean and the kettle was clean after that why some water inside the kettle. How bad and attitude she was told me. Her manner and attitude was awful. And you imagine she working in hotel hospitality industry. What a awful experience. She did arranged room change to 9B. However, water same inside the kettle, smoking smell and dirty carpet.

I accidentally found a expired body lotion with your hotel brand. Very terrible hotel. How come it has expired half an year already and still given to the guest. What a terrible hotel and management. Don't stay in this hotel anymore everyone. Dirty bathroom and expired body lotion. Poor Management especially the hotel manager deal with the case. AWFUL. I have call the hotel manager for this situation after we have spoke in the middle, she has cut off the line, coz she's angry. How unbelievable in the hospitality industry. If she doesn't like her job, she can go back home to sleep. But do not speak in this way with this manner to customers.

Room tip: not suggested stay in this hotel

Walked from Tin Hau station and found entrance. Two female staff were doing reception role and dealt my check in procedure. One floor provides two room each, which is spacious enough for a solo tourist. There are many eating places, and in fact the hotel offers catering service including beverages from outside. Can taje a walk to Causeway bay in about 10 minutes.

Easy check in and out, request for room extension is convenient. Room is spacious, bed and pillow are comfortable, complete with kitchen utensils, big bathroom and squeaky clean. The room has also a good view around the area.

21 Whitfield is an aparthotel in Tin Hau. It is located a 5 minute walk from the MTR station with easy access to Victoria Park. Bus no 5 terminates right outside the front entrance to the property. Electric Road is very close by with many many places to eat.

So on to the property itself. To say that the reception area is minimalist would be a massive overstatement. There is a single desk there and once you get past that, there are two elevators and that is it. I found that during most of my stay there the reception area was cluttered with departing or arriving guests luggage.

Each floor consists of two self contained appartments, There are three classes of room, Standard, Harbour and Full Harbour view. Initially we were booking into a standard room. This is a room on one of the lower floors and all we could really see were the buildings that surrounded us. This also meant that people living or working in those buildings could see in to our appartment, so we had to keep the blinds shut. We upgraded to a full harbour view and it was much better and we had a great partial view of the harbour. Unfortunately some architect had designed and built the CitiCorp building which blocked the view of much of the harbour.

Our small appartment consisted of a small bathroom. The shower was over the bath tub which personally I do not like, preferring a walk in shower. The kitchen area was small with an induction hob, kettle and toaster. It was fully equipped, apart from a corkscrew, which was irritating but easily remedied. There were several food stores close by.

The living area consisted of a small sofa & coffee table. There was a good quality TV and iPod docking station. The working desk was good as was the wifi connection in the room. I thing you had to have a degree in physics to work out how the lights worked which i found to be most annoying.

One last thing that was no tto my taste was that the be itself was on wheels and moved about a great deal but i guess that is more down to me being a restless sleeper.

21 Whitfield is quite expensive and is slightly disappointing do to the fact that there are no out of room facilities. Next time I think i will stay at Metropark Causeway Bay, where you most definitely get more bang for your buck

Room tip: pay more and go for a Full Harbour Viiew on a higher floor
