This hotel is very well located for the shopping centre of Jakarta and is walking distance to several restos and a great pool place. the rooms are clean neat and modern. TV has many channels and internet is free wherever you are in the hotel. Recommend standard room the deluxe not really different and the internet connection point less convenient

Quite new place with clean and bright rooms. Location is very good. Breakfast was OK. There is a window between the room and the bathroom but it is made of frosted glass so you cant see through. We had to stay for a week and one night we suffered from noise from an other room, otherwise it was quiet.

This is my first time trip in Jakarta, a day before landed I tried to find a best hotel with good price and location.
It`s easy to Google about the hotel location because it`s in Jakarta Pusat (central).
Yes, we might find many hotel surround it but with this price you might find the warm of the 5 stars services in this hotel.
My 3 days stay seems to short for me, feels home and friendly.....

So, when you are in town find this hotel is the best choice

Stayed for a day here. On arrival, we were so impressed with the place, that we extended our reservation from one to three nights.
However, there was an event going on the first floor, from which the sound spread through the hotel.
After three phone calls to reception, the noise stopped at 4.15am. We were told that the DJ was the hotel's general manager, which explained the lack of consideration for guests who were there to sleep!
Our stay was cut back to one njght and we left. The hotel has a programme of events, so this was not a one-off.
A big shame, as the hotel itself is amazing and very reasonably priced.

We took seriously every comments and have looked through on which date January 2011 that the problem occurred, as we noted that our General Manager did not play DJ and in fact He was out of town within such period.
We do had an event there as mentioned, but it was held by an event organizer from outside. So we are afraid our staff had missed in making communiaction to you.

However, rather than giving you an excuses, we would like to sincere apologize for the inconvenience occurred and ensure that such matter will not happen again in the future.

If you have just one night between flights or are on a short business trip, this is the place to have a restful stay right in the middle of teh Golden Triangle business district. You can get a bluebird cab outside CGK airport, it costs about 130,000 Rp including all tolls and airport taxes to get here. You can tell the driver that it is behind Sarinah, which incidently is a local store that has a whole floor of batic stuff, not cheap but nice place to pick up last minute presents.

We chose this hotel only because it had a special price on agoda.com (125 SGD) and we have no regrets. After a long visit to Kutai National Park, we had a lazy day catching up on our sleep, getting the mud out of our shoes and the equatorial scents out of our hair. The hotel is set a little behind from the main road, has Ibis Arcadia next door, a few satay joints and local eating joints right outside the lobby area. The room is extremely well appointed, very masculine with dark furniture, great bathroom fixtures, air-conditioning and a nice large comfy bed. If I want to be critical, the flaw would be room lighting, it is bit on the dimmer side, but hey if you are out on a romantic getaway, suits you just fine.

Since we had travelled and eaten out a lot on in roadside joints, we were not upto a large meal. We did not check out the bar, the resturants that Akmani offered but a lot seemed to be happening. The place also has a lobby cafe that boasts great looking pastries and a high tea. The 711 next door came in handy to pick up some light bread and some coffee. The highlight of the place though is it's breakfast- 6 am to 10 am on the first floor-good decor, outdoors and indoor sofa areas to sit. it has all the necessary stations and many options, local, western, american, a few types of breads. It is worth booking a stay inclusive of breakfast. The service is great too.

If you are into local travel options like me, there is a bus station called "Sarinah" that can take you to Block M (quite a long ride away), Harmony, Gambhir station. The Monument and Museum are pretty close by, so is Hyatt, and the Plaza Indonesia is quite walkable from here. Our surprise was to find an Indian restuarant, Komala Vilas, on the ground floor of Sarinah. The main street corner also has a Pizzahut, a Starbucks, Burger king and a 24 jam Indonesian Cafe called Ooo Lala. The last one I was not impressed by, the pasta was made with tomato ketchup and instead of chicken they served me beef after waiting for 30 minutes. In this building there is a gorgeous upmarket XXI cinema (20,000 Rp per ticket) with very plush seats, great coffee and multiple eating options. So you can skip Ooo la la and eat while you watch a movie. Nice experience if you want to avoid the hot post lunch sun.

Overall we were completely rejuvenated at Akmani, it was just want we wanted before we returned to Singy and its fast paced crazy work life!
