For the price and location we could not have asked for anything else. Near to the malls and food was abundant in variety & price.

Clean, efficient and exactly what was needed.

Highly recommended and ask for Dedi at the Front Desk, he is a Jack of all trades and give you the heads up in the area and Jakarta.

Very strange place.

It has the decor of a hostel, if that hostel were in a Dr Seuss book, but also carries a subset of hotel conveniences.

The rooms are clean brushed concrete. TV on the wall and a comfy bed, but only one socket miles from it - which is a pain given how many electronic items people tend to travel with these days. It's OK but in no way cosy.

"Max" is a strangely Austrian looking cartoon figurehead who is portrayed around the place but doesn't seem to feature elsewhere, except that some of the desk staff have been compelled to wear a hat in the style of Max's too, which must be embarrassing for them. The high-ceilinged reception area looks like a psychedelic nightmare made flesh and there are bizarre and inconsistent cartoon characters and themes in other places, such as the lifts.

Outside it's a bit rough, though there's a fantastic array of food stalls in the evenings. It's ten minutes' walk from Jalan Jaksa if you really need to go there. There's a Coffee World in the lobby which does average food but a damn good brew.

The motto, behind the desk, is "love your customers as you love yourself". Clearly that love doesn't extend to providing any towels, which are an extra 20,000 rupiah.

Weird.

Stayed here overnight last February on a standard room. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, airconditioning is good, there's a ref, and bathroom is adequate. Space is cramped, they do not give out toiletries except for liquid soap and shampoo. There is only one powe outlet not including the TV outlet. Most of the amenities are lacking.

Location is pretty good. Five minutes walk to Bank of Indonesia BRT, 10 minutes walk to the MONAS, 5 minutes walk to Sarinah mall, and 15 minutes walk to Plaza Indonesia mall. Also within close proximity to airport and train station. Convenience store and coffee shop located at the first floor.

Service is satisfactory as the staff are neither rude nor hospitable.

For the price the hotel is charging, you get decent value for your money, this hotel is a safe choice, just average.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors are quiter

+ Its the only hotel on Sabang, main eating street of Jakarta full of street stalls, cheap cafes etc For the posh dinner try Shanghai Blue 1920 at the north corner . So location is great.
+ Everything is new, modern, clean and working
+ cheap price

- Really small room
- No public spaces, only expensive coffeeshop on the groung floor

After all it is great value in the right place

Room Tip: High floor gives a view over city roofs
