We had a wonderful evening at Trattoria Stella, and truly felt like guests of the owners. We were in the mood for Italian food, so I googled Italian restaurants on Boracay, and this came up with excellent reviews. It's not easy to find, so you have to really want to get there; but that's part of the appeal - it's located on a quiet, off-the-beaten-path street. The food is superb: the owner chef is from Genoa, met his Filipina wife in Thailand, fell in love with the Philippines, and opened a restaurant on Boracay. He makes much of the pasta himself, and it is excellent. i had perhaps the finest ravioli of my life that evening. His wife is a gracious hostess and makes customers feel very much at home. Highly recommended and worth the trip to get there.
