Reviewed 9 December 2011

You do not need to be a vegetarian to venture to a vegetarian restaurant, and if you are a nonya food lover, then 7 Sensations is a place to go.

The lady chef is keen and good in coming out with interesting recipes. She cooks well and her food is always fresh.

Set at reaonsable prices, it is a place one needs to venture!

“Delicious, Healthy, Creative”
Reviewed 30 November 2011

Ideal for vegetarians and those on a healthy diet (e.g. gluten/dairy free, etc). Also there are great choices for those not on a particular diet (sandwiches, pasta, etc).

Juices are fresh and organic. Lemon-ginger tea is fresh.

Dishes are creative and tasty. It is how I like to eat when I eat at home.

I give it 5-stars because it is exactly what it advertises-- creative, hoslitic, vegetarian, plus the food is delicious and fresh. Service is friendly and genuine. Pretty basic atmosphere, and food is not inexpensive, but delicious and of fine quality. I returned repeatedly.

Not for business or romance in particular, with a very casual setting on the third floor of a department store mall. Very ideal for friends getting together, casual dining, or solo dining.

“A Modern Vegetarian”
Reviewed 7 August 2010

This restaurant is located in one of the little street in Little India. It is a nice and cosy little restaurant with a Zen setting. We were greeted with a refreshing smell of lemongrass from the aroma diffuser and soothinn spa music.. This is a place where you can find an extensive international menu and including Singapore local food.. The dishes are well presented and staff are friendly.. We visited the restaurant 4 times during our 5 day stay in Singapore. We tried their Avocado Mango Salad, Pizza, Moussaka, Shanghai Noodle, Black Olive Brown Rice, Vegetarian Curry Fish and etc...They even create their on drinks of enzymes... Value for money... definately..
Cons - menu needs to replace (alittle old and shabby) and this restaurant takes alittle time to locate (but worth it)

“Decent Vegetarian restaurant”
Reviewed 24 July 2009

My wife and I read reviews online about this place and decided to check it out. In short, the food was okay, but not the best we have ever had.

To explain our ratings, the atmosphere was non-exhistent. Not a big deal for us if there is great food, but this place basically was a free space with plain chairs and tables. To give you an idea, the menu was printed on paper in plastic protective page covers.

The service was good, nothing that really stood out though. The waitress was helpful in explaining the menu and providing us service. The owner wasn't too flexible about our portion question, but at least was straightforward.

The value was okay as well. As you will read, we expected a larger portions and more options. We had to deliberate awhile before we made our selections, but I think we made the best choices of what was available.

Here is what we ordered and our thoughts:

Gado Gado: This dish includes uncooked, fresh vegetables, tofu, sunflower seed patties that are to be dipped in a cashew nut dip. This dish was okay and tasty.

Vegetarian Curry Mock Fish: This dish is served in a small bowl with cooked veggies (eggplant, ocra, and peppers I think) and three pieces of the Mock fish (count them... three). The curry and fish was tasty, but didn't expect such a small serving of the fish when it was one of the more expensive dishes on the menu ($17 SGD). We asked the owner and she said that it only comes with 3 pieces.

Mousaka (forgot how many layers): This dish we were expecting more from. It was a bit dry honestly although it is filling. I really didn't find it to be that great since it basically tasted like dry lentils with some tomato sauce. Just okay. I thought it would have had much more flavor. At least this dish was a larger serving than the fish though.

Blueberry Non-dairy Cheese Cake: We both though this was pretty good, not great like a real cheesecake, but good enough considering. Try it, it's worth a try.

Overall, we probably wouldn't go back and go elsewhere since Singapore has a vast amount of vegetarians options where the food tastes great, is better priced and with larger portions.
