This is a great way to ascend the San Cristobal Hill, and offers excellent views of the city as you do go up.... mostly looking back towards the Costanera Center and Las Condes area of the city. Takes about 20 minutes or so to go up and was fun to do. Slightly difficult to find the entrance as it is located in the back of a residential area and the actual place is not very well marked. Took my Uber driver a few minutes to get that all figured out, but if you are traveling another way it could be an issue. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable in getting me set up and situated with purchasing tickets and on my way up. A great way to spend a few hours with excellent views on a warm sunny afternoon.

This is a great way to get to Cerro San Cristobal where we have a wonderful view of Santiago and the Andes. The cable car is safe and the ride is smooth. There are special cable cars for bikes if you want to ride your bike on the top ( I definitely recommend it). There is a small place selling snacks and there are restrooms you can use. And there was an art exhibition when we got to the top and there is a very beautiful church. They should build a nice restaurant there, though.

About 4 bucks gets you a great view of the sprawling city of Santiago. Well run by very polite young people.

What a wonderful 3-4 hour activity. Take the funicular rail to the top, listen to soft meditative music, limb and explore the statue, chapel and side views. Continue on the Teleferico cable car to the other side of the hill. Spectacular view, wonderful scenery! You can get exercise too if you bicycle around up and down hills, or walk this cerro upward.

This routes from near the tallest building in Santiago to the top of San Cristobel. Alternatively you can take the funicular up to the top from downtown at the top of Pio Nono and then the cable car.

Its inexpensive and the views are great. When we went it wasn't busy at all so there were just 2 of us in the cab in both directions.
