The only disappointment we had is that we only had one night at this gem. From the minute we walked in, the entire staff was helpful, friendly and made us feel welcome. Of particular note was Eduardo at the front reception, who let us borrow his personal iPhone charger overnight when our adapter wouldn't work.
The hotel is nearly 100 years old, and has preserved its charm and beauty--a far cry from most antiseptic hotels. And its location is fantastic--a one minute walk to the Neruda house, and the neighborhood and the nearby Lastarria neighborhood, where there a tons of great restaurants, and the Bellavista mall, with good restaurants and interesting, less touristy shops. Our third floor room had a great view of the city and the mountains as well.More
