Owner description: This is the place for fine dinning. It is the expensive part of town, known locally as the "other Chile."

This is possible one of the most important streets of Santiago, gastronomically speaking of course.
There are several restaurants with very high quality. I can say that I liked almost every single one of them - especially the traditional ones - were you can try the local cuisine.
The restaurants are quite expensive - around 30-50 US dollars per person - and the area seems a bit exclusive.

IG is in the heart of the affluent El Golf area with many multi national company HQ plus the major hotel brands and high end apartments. It is also a ghetto of good quaity eateries offering for all bugets all within a short walk of each other. A safe area to walk around. Has some retail shops but nothing of a major draw. On Sunday morning in Plaza Peru there is a regular antique market which is worth a visit for an hour with various bruch offerings..

On Isadora in the Las Condes area you can find some of the better restaurants like Due Torre (very fine Italian restaurant), Don Carlos (the best Argentinian restaurant) and shops like Mundo del Vino (every wine you can think off) and La Casa del Habano )fine (Cuban) cigars. It is a busy but friendly street.

Nice wide street, easy to walk full of restaurants and a nice crowd. As its in a nice business district its full of young people who fill up the bars and restaurants after work.

Great place to take a walk and sightsee. Lots of parks and plenty of really good restaurants to grab a bite. Love it at any time of the day.
