Great atmosphere, service and food at reasonable prices. When we tried to tip the waitress at the end of the evening, she wouldn't take it. Sign (in Spanish) at the entrance said 'No WiFi, talk to each other'. That about summarizes the vibe. Cool place!

We had the warm chèvre salad, cassoulet and beouf stroganoff. All were excellent. The overall ambience was perfect to help us celebrate our last night on vacation. The only negative was the attitude of our waitress, who didn’t appear to want to be there.

The ratings on this bistro are accurate. Would rate it a 4.5. We were seated without a reservation. The service was good. This must be where the locals go; no english menus and few english speaking staff. The stroganoff and beef bourginion were excellent. The menu includes pasta, and an extensive wine list that appeared pricier than other restaurants. Enjoyed a Koyle Costa Sauvignon Blanc from the nearby Colchagua valley. Parking on Street limited, The surprise of the night was the cash tip I left was returned to me as we were walking out the door; apparently tips are not accepted.

Fantastic “open air” restaurant with huge open windows, so even if you can’t sit on the small patio, you can feel the fresh air outside. Very extensive wine list (at least 20 by the glass) to please everyone and try different Chilean wineries. Solid French cuisine with a Latin twist, and you can’t go wrong with any of the seafood on the menu. Yes, it’s on the more expensive side, but not ridiculously so, and a good value for what you get. Only drawback for me was the service - super friendly, but the wine didn’t always arrive with the food, so I had to wait a bit for my “pairing” to be complete. It was a very busy Sunday afternoon, so I’ll cut them some slack.

A young sommelier at Bodega Garcon in Uruguay recommended last week that we try Baco during our short stay in Santiago. He and Eater were right - food, beverages and service were all “spot on” in a lovely indoor/outdoor space. Casual yet professional with a good vibe. 4 cheese gnocchi, chèvre salad and lightly fried fish made for a lovely dinner for 2. Pisco Sour and some rose worked well with our dinner. Creme Caramel was light and tasty.
