My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as part of our tour of Chile. The hotel was fairly basic with no bar but was fine for a short stay. Breakfast was ok but odd in that it was not self service. Instead a selection of all the breakfast items was placed in front of each person which could be wasteful.
We were initially uncertain about Valpariso as first impressions were not great, arriving in the evening, and there were worries about crime. However after a half day tour the next day we got our bearings and realised the hotel was in a great area with lots of bars and restaurants, Cerro Alegre area.
We had a drink and food in Taulat which had an excellent view over the city and seafront. The food was tapas which was ok but not brilliant, but this was a great place for drinks. The next night we had a pizza in a nearby Italian restaurant which was good. There were lots more bars and restaurants also nearby.
An excellent hotel in a good location close to many bars and restaurants. There were also minimarkets nearby where we were able to buy some beers to have a drink at the tables in front of the hotel and relax in the sun.
Check out the funicular railways also.More
