These couple of streets just below El Panecillo are full of shops and restaurants. Lots of different places to go. Only drawback was we were there during carnivale and had to avoid getting squirted by the soapy water and squirt guns.

There are small bars and restaurants aloonh the street. Try "canelaso" a typical drink. We spent a few hours here, very nice. Highly recommended

This old city area is one of the most interesting places to walk around i Quito. Walking areas with no cars allowed, music, restaurants and articrafts sold on the street. Enjoy local cuisine in a wonderful ambiance. A great fun experience.

We were there during the day so it was pretty quiet, apparently it's busier in the evening. It was a nice walk in an old part of Quito, near plenty of other sites. Worth going to walk through if you're already spending some time in old Quito.

This would be a perfect place to end a day in Quito. Festive, Colorful, and Entertaining.
Lots of good restaurants, street performers, craft places and much more.
