Like lots of people, stayed here on our way to and from the Galapagos. Staff were very helpful and the public area was a nice place to spend some time when it rained. Being in the old town meant it was easy to explore the city. The hotel found us a guide for a couple of days and we made a trip to Mitad del Mundo. Also the chocolate tasting laid on by the hotel was really nice. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant served a nice evening meal.

First hotel on arrival in Quito. Short walk to the door as entrance on pedestrian area. No problem as hotel staff there quickly for luggage. Smart hotel in traditional building and very close to major old town attractions.

Very good room (17) on top floor. Plenty of space and large bed.

Breakfast excellent and afternoon tea also included. Dined one night and really enjoyed the food.

Room Tip: Room 17 was great but was up two flights of stairs.

Lovely boutique hotel situated in the old town area of Quito. Helpful staff, organized around a delightful courtyard, and rooms which were comfortable and quiet giving out on the back. Perhaps rooms in the front would be noisy.

La Casona de la Ronda was the perfect start to an amazing holiday. We were both very tired after a long journey from London but the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

We stayed for 3 nights including Friday and Saturday when La Ronda really does come alive and is very noisy. However our room was quiet as we were at the back of the hotel, and we had no problems sleeping. The restaurant is small but the food is good (breakfast is excellent) and the staff are very attentive. We also enjoyed the complementary coffee/tea from 4-6pm.

It’s walking distance to the Plaza Grande and the historic Old Town so an ideal place if you’re visiting Quito.

I stayed with my daughter for one nought prior to travelling to Mashpi. It is really old town and a great location to access the historic centre of Quito. On the downside it takes a while to get there through the narrow streets of this area. The hotel is a short walk from the nearest accessible road (by car) so be prepared to haul your luggage a few meters. That said it is well worth the effort as internally the Hôtel offers elegant surroundings and very caring staff. The room was ok and reflected the historic buildings style, plumbing was a little noisy! All in all a great stepping off point to enjoy Quito
