Let's start with the good stuff--the location is ideal, right in the middle of the Historic Center. There are some areas of the hotel which are immaculate--ie the ones in the photographs--such as the entry courtyard. But the rest of the hotel is in some dire need of maintenance, and much of it feels like an old youth hostel than a hotel. My expectations were set by the pricing--it isn't cheap, and there are better options out there. Only when we arrived did the near-lifeless receptionist tell us our room was on the 5th floor. 'But it has a great view of the old historic center', we were told (see photo), though this in fact meant a view of the abandoned apartment building across the street. It didn't feel very clean (though the cleaning lady was nice).
The breakfast included in the hotel price is pitiful--overly ripe fruit, yesterday's bread, oily eggs and inexcusably bad coffee.
But again--great location!More
