Delicious food right in the heart of Iquitos, “D’Cajon Restaurant” located at 872 Napo Street (Calle Napo 872), provides a popular meal, called “menu” on a daily basis. On weekdays the cost is only 6 soles, but on weekends, the price might go up to 8 soles. The “menu” is composed of a bowl of soup, salad or another item from numerous options. The main dish is composed of rice and fish, chicken or other meat. The great meal is completed with a delicious drink (refresco in Spanish) made of “maracuyá,” “toronja,” or other fruit of the season. Don’t be shy to request a little more of extra drink. There are different options of menu at the same price. Menu is served between the hours of 12 and 3:00pm, although if you wait too long, you may not find all the dishes. It is suggested to be there by 2:00pm to be able to choose from all the possibilities of Peruvian entrées.
