Unusual hotel decor, very good location for the downtown part of Lima. Breakfast on the roof was cheap as promised and actually very tasty, so would definitely recommend! Great service picking up from the airport, $20 dollars, was a relief to see someone waiting with our name on a sign after a long flight!!! Went out to the shop at 830pm and came back to find the hotel door locked which caused momentary panic, alas the receptionist had been upstairs....

(April 2017) I'm a long time fan but this place is on the wane, really. WiFi only works on 1st floor! So much animal poo on the terrace, the roof-top cafe is impossible for breakfast. Ambivalent receptionist. And still under-construction. Next visit to Lima, I'll look for a new place...

Room Tip: WiFi only works in the reception area, even though they say wifi is hotel-wide service. A terrace fu...

Hotel is in a good location. You can walk to many attractions such as plaza de San Martin, plaza de amas . Iglesias de San Francisco is just beside the hotel. The bedroom floor was quite sticky and dirty. One of our beds was also full of dirt. The taxi service we ordered to pick us from the airport also came very late. We had to call twice from the info counter at airport to remind them. Ok if u just want a place to sleep for a night.

Our first room no. 8 looks romantic, with a lot of paintings just up to my first inhale. The oil-colors odor was everywhere and was unbearable. Next room was on second floor and it was better, there were 4 beds, which for 2 persons represents an unexpected comfort and in addition there was no oil odor. However our better feeling was short. We had to move as the ‘receptionist’ (old upset lady) needed our room for other group of 4 people, which came to the hotel 1 day before their booked date. We moved to room on the top of the hotel, because old lady was not willing to give 2 double bed rooms to new guests, however there were 2 free double bad rooms. In internet era it is not problem to check free rooms on-line. Our last room (last once and for all) was small, dirty and noisy. At bathroom leaked, I hoped, just water and I did not dare to go into shower barefooted. At this floor lives also one turkey and peacock and of course peacock’s cry accompanied us during the night. This hotel is not latest choice, this hotel is not a choice at all. You will just waste your money for something which can spoil your impression from a fantastic country - Peru.
