Excellent food, friendly service, incredible surrounding with a view on the historical site of the Huaca Puclliana, literally few meters away from the outdoors tables.
Service was reasonably fast although the place was large and with several full tables.
Parking just outside.

The restaurant sits at the foot of Inca ruins. The food is good but the view and experience is the main draw

We visited Huaca Pucllana on 14 January for our anniversary dinner. I had sent a note to the restaurant 2 weeks earlier about the occasion so they welcomed us with some complimentary champagne which was a classy touch. We had a wonderful meal. My wife is vegetarian and she had plenty of options too. Eventually, I settled on a quinoa crusted fish and a pisco sour, which was really nice.

We were somewhat surprised when we got the bill though. We had been served some bread which we didn't order and thought was complimentary (as is the case in most restaurants around the world), however, we were charged close to $7.00 for it. We didn't mind paying, given the great quality of food, and the exceptional service, however, did not like this surprise, especially since we didn't order the bread.

All in all, I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to visit Lima, however will advise them to clarify the price of everything on the table.

We overlooked the lit Huaca Pucllana ruins since we sat outside — the ruins are only open during the day. The menu had many traditional dishes (and of course, pisco sours, which were great), nicely prepared. Attentive service. Well worth a visit.

We visited the Huaca one evening whilst being in Lima.

Reservation was easy, seating once arrived as well. Our waiter was a bit weak on English but we noticed that on other tables the communication was much better. As we had native Spanish speaker with us we did not bother too much.

As main course I had the Chupe de Camarones a la Criolla, which is a shrimp soup served with a fried egg. The soup was well cooked and very tasty. Dessert was the Macetitas peruanas, which consists of three different desserts including a kind of rice pudding, the Peruvian version of dulce de leche and chocolate mixed with the Lucuma fruit.

For drinks I had a Pisco Sour and El Enemigo red wine from Argentina, which worked fine with the food.

In my humble opinion the Huaca Pucllana is well worth a visit when staying in Peru!
