Wonderful. Large rooms. Excellent service. 2 on-site restaurants. Spa. And the grounds are spectacular; flowers and hummingbirds everywhere. Good, central location for touring Sacred Valley. Easy to arrange day trips. Easy access to Urubamba shopping and restaurants

Room Tip: Some rooms are near the horse barns and parade yard. Evening horse performances could disturb you for an hour.

Two of us stayed one night at Sol & Luna and just wish we had more time. Not sure how much time it would have required to tire of this wonderful property - but one night surely not enough! Beautiful room, patio, facilities. Gorgeous flower beds and landscaping. Lovely staff. Breakfast excellent; our late dinner was not a fair test for the house. This was the better of the two hotels I was in during my trip to the Sacred Valley.

As others have said, this is a beautiful, thoroughly delightful resort, with lovely, flower-lined paths leading to charming individual casitas, and many amenities such as fine dining with food elegantly presented, the spa, etc. One can be with other people or feel happily alone, as each casita has a small porch and chairs, and the flowering bushes give one a sense of privacy.

However, I must mention a huge negative for me, the mattress that was like a plank of wood. I ended up putting pillows, the extra blanket, and both chair cushions under my sheet and finally slept a little, but suffered a nasty backache all the next day. A nice young man changing the linens the next morning saw the cushions and offered to put a soft pillow top pad on the bed. It helped the next night, but there ought to be one in every room to start with. The very fact that he had the pad indicates the hotel knows the mattresses are an issue.

I can't add much to the other recent rave reviews. The flowering plants everywhere are gorgeous; the whimsical sculptures made me smile; the food (included in our package from Nat. Geo.) was terrific. My only complaint - and it's a petty one - was that the room was underlit, which made packing in the dark rather difficult. I never expected such a beautiful place in the Sacred Valley.

This is a truly lovely place. Each room is in a separate pavilion and the gardens and views of the canyons and mountains are spectacular. Lovely dining rooms and spa. We spent two nights here before hiking four days on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
