When in Montevideo, Uruguay arriving at the port, take a free shuttle with the leather factory to the central plaza. At the plaza, go to the Radisson Hotel, take elevator to the top floor restaurant. There you will have a panoramic view of Montevideo from the restaurant windows. Then sit down for a good coffee, tea, snack or meal. They also have free WiFi.
Montevideo has interesting old architectural buildings...too bad many are abandoned, or in bad state. This old part of Montevideo reminds me of Havana. There appears to me to be tremendous opportunity for Uruguayans to refurbish these architectural & historical buildings back to there original grandure. These would be a tourist attraction.
Please do not demolish these historical buildings.
