Unfortunately you can not see anything from the brewery, so don't expect to have an exhausting, long visit to discover the hidden secrets of beer-making. In fact the museum is a small room full of advertisements and other materials mainly from the late 19th century. With the tickets you are also entitled to visit the restaurant of the brewery when you can taste the Sarajevsko beer. It has good atmosphere with wooden ceilings and the beer is quite good.

Whilst it's a bit off the beaten track, outside the main city (although only about a 15 - 20 minute walk) this place is well worth finding.

It's been in existence for over 150 years, and was opened under Ottoman rule - quite a feat in itself!

Very good selection of beers, well worth spending some time here sampling them.......

Good local food too, and at very reasonable prices, and the service is very good.

As well as a snack at lunchtime, we also went for an evening meal; there was a party on in the main bar, but we were shown to a very nice dining room upstairs, where we had a very enjoyable evening meal.

Worth searching out for sure

The brewery has been around for more than 150 years. That alone should get you to visit. The interior is lovely and the staff is very attentive. I only came for the beer which was great!

If you like beer, this is definitely a nice place to go for a pint or two! The Dark beer is really tasty and everything is available draft. Remember; this is essentially a pub so food is usually average. Service was friendly and prompt! Overall I would recommend a visit

Sarajevo Brewery exists over 150 years - it opened in 1864 as the first local industry and shortly became one of leading producers in Bosnia, with considerable amounts exported to Montenegro, Croatia and Albania. Just before World War I, Sarajevska Pivara was producing 116,000 hl per year, and in 1916 it passed the limit of 150,000 hl.

Today it produces several local brands as well as German Oettinger under licence
