It's a small hotel, very good for the value, I can say a budget hotel. It is in the center of the city and it is located in good area from where you can easily go to visit the very city center and other areas as well. I didn't like the room because it wasn't very clean and also I didn't like the furniture, it was quite old, as well the one in the dinning room where you can have your breakfast. There was a problem with the lock of the room door and that wasted my time to wait for the technical personnel to fix it. The breakfast was OK with variety of food that you can choose. Nothing much to add, just as advice if you like to spend much time outside the hotel for a low budget, this is a hotel of your choice. Anyway there a plenty of nice budget hotels in Belgrade just you need to look for them.

Room tip: Don't choose a room facing to street - it may be noisy!

First time I came to the Palace restaurant I thought to myself - have a beer and that's it. However, Palace Hotel has one od the most talented chefs and a flawless waiter services in the centre.

Why? The hotel is a part of students practice program in tourism and cooking and everything they make is an 'old-school' 'by-the-book' piece of heaven you have to try.

If you're ut for a tartar stake this is one of the two places in the town where they make the best of it - you can even ask the chief waiter to make the dish in front of you!

Old school knows the best.

I stayed at Hotel Palace for 2 nights in November 2015 and 3 nights in December 2015. Each stay was on a different floor. Internet access was a problem both times. While hotel staff was sympathetic and looked into possible solutions, during both stays they were apparently unable to resolve the problem in such a way that internet could be used from all rooms.

Other than the problem with internet access, the hotel is OK but not great. Rooms are old but clean, if a bit smelly (apparently plumbing-related). On my first stay, I found a bone in my aspic at breakfast, but who eats aspic for breakfast, anyway?!

This was our first visit to Serbia. We had booked the hotel online and it was more or less as expected from the reviews. Yes it was old fashioned with high ceilings and dated decor. As others have said the carpets definitely need replacing or deep steam cleaning ---if they don't fall apart. However, it was always clean, plenty of space in the room and a large bathroom. Lots of pretty good towels and the bed was fairly comfortable. We asked for more pillows as they only provided one each but none of the pillows were very comfortable. All the bedding could do with replacing really.
The breakfast was brilliant. A huge choice of everything. Very good value as it is included.
The reception staff spoke very good English and were very helpful.
The only thing that annoyed me (an Old Person) is that there are about a dozen steps up to the lobby from the street and a very stiff door. No ramp to wheel suitcases and no doorman to help at any time although occasionally 2 girls would open the door. Interestingly they weren't around when you had your suitcase!! Not a problem for youngsters I wouldn't have thought.
It's in a very central location, about 5 mins walk from the centre and cafes and restaurants just yards away.
