Alessandro's is one of only two places that I have found with truly excellent pasta. The other places is about three times as expensive. Alessandro's is an excellent representation of Italian food in the tropics.

When you walk in, you see a very casual environment, not too fancy environment but very familiar.
Where this restaurant excels is in the food, I've been there around 4 times, and the food has never let me down.
The pasta and pizza is very fresh, natural, with outstanding quality ingredients and good portions, it seems pricey but when you do the math of what you get, you understand why.
Prosciutto pizza is swimming in prosciutto, the lasagna is big and delicious, deserts options are small but the panna cotta and tiramisu are amazing.
One of the places I for sure will come back soon and often.

The place doen´t look special from the outside, but when you go up to the rooftoop is really nice.

For starter calamari a la romana is very good. In pizzas you HAVE TO ask for marinara pizza (schrimps, calamaris and octopus), it really is my favorite pizza of all time, it has a lot of seafood, cheese and thin crust. Calzone pizza is good too, I asked for a prosciutto/mushrooms and one with anchovies/mozzarella/fetta, really good.

Stay away from Risotto, the one I asked for was flavorless and salty, if I could I will put 4.5 stars for this, but really don't mind the 5 star rating, as the pizzas are delicious.

I still haven´t tried desserts and drinks different than beers... they have 0.75L Regia, a good salvadorean beer, but also have different international beers like Peroni and Stella Artois.

Alessandro is a lovely Italian restaurant. I ordered ravioli, my friend ordered a lasagne, which was big enough for two. we were brought free garlic bread.

The staff were very nice. Be careful when ordering wine, though. The choice was limited and a glass cost more than the meal!

The owner hadn't heard of Tripadvisor but I was keen to give Alesandro's a good review.
