This tour is just an amazing experience that everyone should do at least once in their life. For me it was just f¿great, we were so lucky to have so much activity that day in the water with differents whales but specially with a baby that was so playful discovering his body.

Being guide by Anne is such a nice pleasure, she has so much knowledge for being is this area for so many years. She is happy to explain you so many interesting things from the whales and answering question. Is so cool having all that information while you are watching them.

The lunch that is include in the day tour is really nice and the island you go to take is so nice. Is definitely something that if you have the opportunity don't let it pass.

We were about 40 people, taking off with a small ferry (catamaran) from Amador Causeway (Balboa Yacht Club) en route to Las Perlas (Pearl Islands). One-way trip takes something around 2 hours. We were lucky to spot whales for a few times, so we stopped and watched them and took several photos both on the way to Las Perlas and on the way back.
After the first 2 hours, we reached Isla Contadora for a lunch & swimming break - approximately 2 hours. Then we were on the way back.
Our ferry was not too big, not too small (check out pictures from "Taboga Express", these are the ferries being used). You can easily see the view & the whales without hassle. It's front is open if you want to have some tan, and it also has lots of shades for the ones who don't. It is safe and clean with 2 bathrooms on board. The crew was very good, an American lady and two local guys hosting us, all with very good English. They gave lots of information about whales, their habitat, migration routes and alike - both in English & in Spanish. Several times, they put microphones in the sea, so we could listen to the whales "singing".
The lunch at Contadora was good, with a number of options and food for everyone.
I had previously searched for private tours, organized with smaller boats for less number of people, which come around 10 times the cost / person versus this group tour. We paid 150$/person for this tour (versus potentially >1000$/person in private tours) and I tend to think this was a better value for money... but no offense to private tours as I don't have the experience and can't comment much on its advantages.
Net, I found this tour amazing and very satisfying for someone who loves nature, but does not know much about whales or their ways of living :) and I equally recommend the company for their positive and professional attitude and service.

Left PTY in drizzling rain but the clouds rolled back for a spectacular day. View of the city, boats lined up for the canal, and of course the whales. Saw mothers with their calves, whales breaching all amidst the spectacular Pearls. Very nice lunch and time for a brief walk around Contadora, before heading back with more whale sightings and dolphins. Great boat and knowledgeable guides, made for a per fect day.

I can't speak to the specifics of the day trips as I was part of a week-long retreat with Anne (the owner), but I can assure you that she has extensive experience working with all types of animals and knows pretty much all there is to know about cetaceans, in Panama and everywhere else, and is learning more all the time. Whale Watching Panama recently became affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution, which maintains a significant presence in Panama. Anne has lived in Panama for more than a decade, speaks fluent Spanish, and will not let you down. You will not find a more knowledgeable guide. And you probably will not find more enthusiastic and wonderful whales anywhere else!

Fantastic trip! Diego and Joshua were wonderful, very informative and fun. We saw so many whales, it was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend this company to anyone visiting or living in Panama. Anne and her team are very nice and truly care about the ocean and the whales.
