Checking in was pleasant and smooth. The room was clean and spacious like how most of the 4* & 5* hotels were back in the late 70's early 80's. Room amenities and toiletries were adequate.
Housecleaning is quite efficient. Breakfast spread is adequate but got a tad monotonous after our 3rd day.
The pool and gym are well maintained.
This hotel is rather dated and has seen it's heydays way back when. The hotel is cylindrical and the rooms were built to absorb the 360 degree views that it once offered a long time ago. Unfortunately, urbanization has stolen a huge portion of the panoramic views and only a handful of rooms per floor get to enjoy the views of the coastline and main drag of Balboa Avenue and Cinta Costera.
Location is not too bad. It's about a 10-15 minute ride to either Multiplaza or Casco Viejo depending on time of day. It's walking distance to Multi Centro Plaza.
The 4 km walk to Casco Viejo along the Cinta Costera is about 40 minutes, give and take, depending on your speed.
The hotel is priced at the lower end of the mid-range category. Good value for a Panama City stay.
We enjoyed our 9 day stay but will look elsewhere the next time we're back.More
