I've stayed at Los Mostros twice and I am never disappointed. From $1.25 beers poolside to the super convenient laundry service, the place rocks. Out of all the Hostels in Panama City, Los Mostros has the most intimiate atmosphere. People hang out day and night at the hostel in between excursions and it's a great place to meet people from all over the world. The staff are super helpful and can tell you anything and everything about Panama. As much as I love the hostel, it's the staff that keeps me coming back especially the curly haired colombian boy who works the front desk. That guy deserves a raise. The ideal employee. The price and the amenities make this the greatest value in Panama city.

Room Tip: El puente has the best rooms with onsuite bathroom

The staff is really nice and helpful, our Hostel was overbooked for one night, so we were looking for another option. They accommodated us very friendly and even made us breakfast at 5am in the morning!! The bathrooms are also clean and there's a cool swimming pool in the garden, which invites you to chill in the afternoon to escape the hot temperatures outside :)

It's beautiful, clean and the restaurant is delicious, they have live music and silence if you want to sleep. The staff is amazing and the pool delicious. Definetely the best place in Panama to stay

The rooms have AC, hot water and big closets. For te price is just amazing. I've been in other hostels in Panama and there is no comparison.

Just amazing.

The best part about this hostel is the great space out back to hang out and chill. There's a pool, a grill, and a spacious patio with tables for dining and couches and hammocks for hanging out with other travelers. On my first night, we cranked up the Latin music and had a dance party and the second night one of the guys who works at reception got out his guitar and we all sat around to sing and jam.

I stayed in the 6 person dorm which was really quite tight on space, but the bathroom was huge! The kitchen was fully equipped and laundry service is available. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.

Room Tip: 6 bed dorm is tight on space

Be aware, the 10 mix room is on the 2nd floor with a circle stairs (not convinate for suitcases). The room is actually 2 rooms with no doors (only one have AC from 9pm to 9am) the stairs is the 'door' for the second room. The bathrooms is on the first floor, and it's not easy to get down in the middle of the night.
Try to book the 6/8 people it is better, only few stairs and the room have a privet bathroom, and it cost only 1$ more!
The stuff was helpful. We booked a trip to San Blas islands, we were told that we will be leaving San Blas at 3pm, we were actually left on 8am! And there was nothing that we could do. It was 137$ each for a privet cabin, including the drive to San Blas 60$, boat drive 20$, Taxes in the border 22$ and a night in Franklin Island 26+9$.
The hostel offers a shuttle to Bocas Del Toro for 46$. DO NOT book this, use the bus from Alburk terminal station (3.5-5$ taxi or 0.5$ van to the station) for 28$.
