Appointed with period antiques throughout, first impressions are amazing of the decor down to the smallest detail. Owners Joe and Alex are an absolute delight, and greet you at the door like old friends. Very welcoming and begin with the story of the house and decor. We made our way to our room, the angel room, and it was just beautiful and comfortable as well. The Inn is steps from downtown Annapolis, lined with fun shops, antique stores, restaurants and pubs - fantastic location! Lots to do, and when you come home, your bed is comfortable and your room is quiet. Morning time begins with classical music coming from the kitchen along with wonderful smells of breakfast cooking. Three course breakfast is served in cut crystal and fine china and silver. Joe's stories accompany the meal and are a pleasure. Very funny and charming. All in all, we stayed three nights and enjoyed every minute. I'd highly recommend the Annapolis Inn.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn to celebrate our anniversary. The Inn is beautiful. Joe and Alex are very kind and gracious hosts. The breakfast was excellent. We would recommend the Inn for a special place to stay in Annapolis.

My husband and I stayed at the inn for a late anniversary celebration. We initially wondered whether we would find the inn to be a somber place because it doesn't have television in the rooms, and the website states that it has quiet hours. However, the innkeepers Alex and Joe kept us engaged for the entire visit; Alex was helpful and informative while Joe provided sassy entertainment.

We stayed in the Murray Suite, which is large and lovely. It includes a spacious sitting area with a fireplace, a luxurious bathroom with heated floors and a vanity, and a bedroom with a fireplace. Guests don't have access to the fireplace logs, but Alex is good about providing them upon request.

We enjoyed the following:

- Beautiful historic home
- Chocolate-covered strawberries for our anniversary
- Walking distance to great casual dining spots (Galoway Pub, Iron Rooster)
- Tasty breakfasts (But be ready to linger at the breakfast table while Alex accommodates each guest.)

The following are minor areas of improvement:

- Garage parking (Be prepared to abandon your car during your stay. It's easier to leave it in the garage and walk to nearby sites.)
- No TV to drown out background noise of inn (talking or walking of other guests)
- No alternatives provided during breakfast if you don't eat pork (for example, turkey bacon or chicken sausage)

Room Tip: The Murray Suite is the largest.

If there is room at the Inn, BOOK IT! Alex and Joe are the most attentive hosts we have ever encountered in a B&B. And Joe is very entertaining. He will dazzle you with funny and interesting stories. Alex also charming is mostly in the kitchen planning and cooking delicious breakfasts. The house is perfect! It shows like a museum yet it is very comfortable. I rate it 5 stars. Our visit at the Inn was the highlight of our trip to Annapolis. We will be back. We stayed in the Murray Suite. Large suite with sitting area, luxurious bathroom, and bedroom. Windows over look back yard and the front of the house letting in lots of light. Very comfortable bedding.

This house is a historic place where the first three US presidents have been. Many museums would love to have such rooms. Everything is TOP standard! It is a prime location next to the Naval Academy and so close to museums, restaurants, shops and the harbor. The breakfast is excellent. We really enjoyed the conversations with the very kind owners. When it came time to go, it was like leaving our home away from home. Many thanks for these lovely days.
