“Fantastic Glass”

St. Barnabas Chapel

This old chapel, still in operation, is truly a treasure. The 5 stained glass windows above the alter, picturing Jesus and disciples Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are national treasures. So great that they have survived and are being cared for. The cemetery and nearby tree are noteable as well.

A touch of magnificence on this modest island.
The half day island tour takes you there.
Amazingly skilled workmanship.

This is a lovely old church with stained glass windows and a beautiful sounding organ. Our guide was an accomplished organist so we were able to hear the quality of the organ’s sound.

The inside of this chapel is amazing!! A guided tour is a must for this so you can find out how the church came about & where the materials etc came from. Definitely a must see!!!

An amazing church with such beautiful lead light windows. The colours are awesome and the photos taken do not compare with observation.
