“A different kind of Nantucket restaurant”

I have been coming many years to Nantucket and Lemon Press is a nice change for dinner from all the other restaurants in town. It does not have the obligatory appetizers and and entrees that other places in town have on their menus. The food is Mexican inspired. Yes,there are some negative reviews because the food takes time to prepare and does not always come out at the same time for all the diners at the table, but I think it is worth the wait. My favorites are the tuna tartare and the fish tacos of the night. The best sides are the coconut rice and beans and the grilled corn. The cocktail drink prices are similar to other establishments (you are in a resort town!), but their Cisco local draft is always good.
If you are looking for a change of food, don't mind waiting for food, want a relaxing upbeat atmosphere at dinner, then you may like this place.

The roasted cauliflower wrap was the beat sandwich I’ve had in along time!! So good, that I had it twice in 3 days. Pricey - yes. But so worth it!

Stopped in for a quick sandwich and cocktail. The falafel was hard as a rock, and the well vodka and soda was over $14.00. By the time we walked out the bill was almost $70.00 for 1 cocktail, 1 fountain soda, two sandwiches and a bag of chips! I felt really bad walking out of there.

A lot of healthy and fresh options but very expensive for the portion size. Açaí bowls are small when dining in, however with the price there are three toppings included, but the overall portion size is small when compared to other similar restaurants.

My family and I were on the ferry - arrived around lunchtime and (unusually) did not read Trip Advisor before heading into the centre of town. This place looks good and the service we received was polite and helpful, however, on reflection the wraps were overpriced for what you get - but worse was the cooked food, we had a falafel and it was minimal. A couple of juices and coffees and you wont get much change out of $100, which seems a lot for a "quick bite". I do realise there is a captive market coming off that ferry, but the quality was sub-average and many choices were already gone by the time we arrived. I think Nantucket can do better for its visitors and these guys can up their game and provide better quality at these prices (or lower their prices in-line with what they are providing)
