This was a very special occasion as we rent the entire hotel 6 amazing rooms for my daughter wedding.. I wanted to thanks Julio and his staff for being such a helpful, kind and make us feel at home... the place is amazing the rooms are decorated with such elegant taste and everything is pointed to details. The terrace has an excellent view of the volcano and the setting for breakfast was exceptional. I definitely recommend this boutique hotel to anyone who wants to exceed their expectations.

Everyone were great! Julio and Ursula hosting were the best and really make it easy and comfortable for us. Antigua tours with Elizabeth were amazing and we are leaving very happy. The hotel is so peaceful, clean and relaxing. Totally recommended

Hotel sor Juana is a locally owned converted home. It has been furnished with beautiful antiques and amenties. All the rooms have new bathrooms and completely furnished with beautiful antiques. The rooms are spacious and private. Breakfast is serve on the beautiful roof. Couches and tables are covered and vey comfortable sitting and enjoying the beautiful plants that make it a beautiful get away. Easy walk to the center of town with many shops and restaurants to explore. Staff was very helpful and always accommodating.

Small hotel (about 5 rooms) in a tastefully renovated 16th century building. A couple of rooms have small patios which add light to the rooms. Pros: lots of character, really nice helpful staff, some staff speak English, roof top patio with comfortable sitting area where breakfast is served. It is owned by Antigua tours so its easy to coordinate airport transport and tours through the hotel. Cons: the location on the edge of town. It is only a ten minute walk to the central square during the day but at night the blocks nearby are dark and the uneven aged sidewalks are a tripping hazard in the dark. The breakfast is okay, sometimes the bread was stale and coffee not hot. We could hear people in the next room talking. Overall a comfortable place to stay but a bit overpriced.

I really can’t say enough about this beautiful hotel. Don’t the rustic exterior fool you, once you enter through the doorway, it’s something akin to how Dorothy must have felt when entering through the gates of Oz. Beautiful comfortable rooms, amazing customer service, and magical romantic breakfast served on an amazing terrace. Jose and staff, thank you for the highlight of our trip!
