Great little place to explore Split and the surrounding area. I was a solo traveler and they really took care of me to ensure all was ok. Rooms are small but clean, and the city is literally outside the door. The breakfast included is wonderful and the restaurant on site is also very good for an evening meal.

Great location by the Silver Gate of Split, with a view towards Diocletians Mausoleum. Very warm welcome- would stay there again. We were glad that we accepted a porters help finding it- the short cut is via a small half gate to the left of the silver gate behind a market kiosk! Lovely people on reception.

I don't really know where to start, as Split has been a fantastic experience from start to finish. But if i had to stress one thing above all it has to be the quality of the service and friendliness of the staff. I have rarely had such a good experience in a hotel (and we travel a lot). they were absolutely fantastic with our 4y old child. In addition, the rooms were neat, location is top-notch, etc..
Noteworthy is the fact that hotel staff takes care of your luggage and of the parking of your car when you arrive, which in the old town is a must. i truly recommend Hotel Peristil

We stayed 4 nights in the room with a view over the Peristil on the third floor. It was wonderful to open the shutters and have it before us. The owners/managers and staff made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Split.
Tip: Walk up towards the flag on the hill and enjoy at drink at the bar overlooking Split at sunset. Such a lovely view of city and the harbour.

The location is excellent, in the heart of Split's Old Town with a supurb attached restaurant. We ate dinner and breakfast there (breakfast included). We were a little worried about getting our luggage to the hotel within a walking only Old Town, but were soon put at ease after I walked into Old Town to find the Peristil with the 1st load of luggage (we don't travel light!). The owner quickly found a "bell boy" to return with me to the car where my friend was double parked. He drove our car for us through the pedestrain area to a back entrance where we conviently unloaded with lots of strong male help to carry the bags into the hotel and up the stairs ( it didn't matter that there was no elevator because the hotel took care of that problem for us by hauling our bags upstairs with no questions asked) . We were politely and efficiently checked into our rooms and shown how the AC worked in the rooms and where everything was and given the code to the free wi-fi fast connection. We were also allowed to park our rental car where we unloaded it, just around the corner from the hotel.
The breakfast was a little slow, but the food was excellent with very adequate choices including a very healthy omlet, fruit and yogurt, and/or basket of breads, fresh squeezed juice and any type of cappucino/latte/coffee drink you desire.
Upon leaving we were patiently shown how to drive around the circumfrence of the Old Town to return our rental car to Hertz and also how to drive to the ferry terminal to drop off luggage at our departing boat.
