Miss Tomka is an amazing host. To begin with we thought we had paid for the apartment via 'hotels.com' but we were wrong. Miss Tomka asked us to pay in the end.
Apartment is about a stone's throw from Old town with nice restaurants ( most expensive). It's also about 5 mins walk from Cable car port. This is also where you catch a shuttle bus ( 40 kuna pp ) back to the airport.
The apartment was clean with a fridge. Power shower and clean toilet. Bed's relatively comfortable.
We were awoken by rowdy tourists at 0300 on the streets making noise after drinking a few too many, but not much you can do there. Thankfully they quietened after a brief sing-along.
I would recommend Miss Tomka's ( apartment 20 ) to anyone visiting Dubrovnik for a few days.

My wife and I stayed here, in the lower unit, for 2 nights in late April 2017. I agree with almost everything said in the November 2016 review "Nice and good value with great location” (except that we never turned on the TV, so I can't verify that).

I completely disagree with "The room is very dark and gloomy," from another review. As to the furniture lacking charm, not sure that I need charm. We were awake for maybe an hour to two a day in the room, and the general cleanliness of the room and quality of the bed and shower are what counted the most (and all of those rated well). When I heard that we would be downstairs, I was a little worried about the potential for upstairs clomping about noise, but this was not a problem.

Tonka was the perfect hostess. Early flight in, can we drop off our luggage if not arrive early? No problem. Late ferry out, can we leave our stuff until 1400? No problem (by almost instant e-mail reply). She was there to check us in and when she found that we had no Dubrovnik guide book, she loaned us one. And our first contact, right after we made the reservation, was to warn us about the 80 steps and to let us cancel if they were going to be a problem.

About those 80 steps: Every one of them is there, and they are of a substantial height. But we are in our mid/late-60s and we traversed them multiple times daily (with luggage on 2 occasions) in dry and slightly wet weather, and only had to stop one time to rest. So, if you're in decent enough shape to take on Dubrovnik's walls, they should not be a significant obstacle. And they do take you away from the hustle and bustle of lower locations, and into a great lodging deal.

A nice basic apartment with small kitchen that had tea making faculties including a kettle.
The location was perfect, right in the middle of the stairs halfway down the town centre (only 2 minutes walk!) and many restaurants nearby.
Liquid soap was available in the bathroom which I liked.
Bath room was nice and big, the shower was big.
Television and dvd player was there and many great channels.
The bed was very comfortable and lovely warm bedspread.
Wifi was fantastic and worked well, and free.
Great heating and air conditioning.
Table and chairs were provided which was awesome.
Windows opened out onto the "street" down the stairs, awesome view. No balcony but that is ok. A clothes line was outside one of the windows which was handy and pegs were available on the window ledge inside. Windows have closing doors to keep the light out during the night.
I must warn people, this place is not really suitable for people with physical disabilities or old people who might find the many stairs very hard to cope with. The apartment owner can arrange a porter to help carry bags up and down for 100 kuna when checking in and checking out.
Weather is sort of tropical because it is set right on the beach but an amazing experience to see Dubrovnik living. The beaches are just gorgeous to see and the fort walls you have to take the walk along the walls.
Hint - make sure you check the weather near the time before you come to Dubrovnik as you will need an umbrella if it rains but often the rain stops and it clears up again.

Room Tip: If you don't like walking up and down more stairs, ask for the first or second level room.

Perfect location in the old town but the apartment isn't that great. The room is very dark and gloomy, it has basic furniture and really lacks charm. It was clean though. No balcony or terrace but we took our chairs and sat by the door as the room was so dark!

Best location ever. It was the first time we were visiting Dubrovinick so was hard to find the location and "understand" our car couldnt get in there, while GPS were saying "turn left, turn left". After realizing we had booked an aptment in Old Town, we parked away and walked to the apartment then faced the 80+ steps to get there. Besides the steps, the place was very clean, keys were easy to find and everything else was ok! I recomend!
