Description: Dubrovnik's new gem where diners enjoy a beautiful fusion of Dalmatian and Japanese cuisine. A unique place in the Old City to taste fresh oysters grown at the oyster farm in nearby Mali Ston Bay. This bay is the last place where the "Queen of oysters" (Ostrea edulis) still grows. The Oyster & Sushi Bar Bota is located in the charming, small alley by the Cathedral.

This little restaurant a little way off the main drag was one of the culinary highlights of Dubrovnik. Being there in winter, the terrace tables were not in use, so we had dinner in the cosy interior. The decor is charming an intimate and the service was exceptional - attentive and friendly. They oysters (local to the area) were a new varietal to me, they were delicious, though in texture they are closer to clams than, say fines de claire. The sushi was impeccably prepared and the fish outstandingly fresh. There was a small but interesting wine list, mostly of Dalmatian wines, and the one that our waiter recommended complemented the food very well. A lovely little gem

Tucked away in the recesses of the old city wall was this gem. The sushi was fresh and an excellent light lunch choice. We sat at the table in the picture enjoying the food and ambiance (fresh flowers framing the open alcove niche) when the sounds of a flamenco guitarist began on the steps below - exquisite! Add a delicious, crisp house white wine and a perfect experience was created. A surprise delight within the old walls.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. The sushi was excellent and it has a very nice location, tucked in yet with some very charming views. The hostess/waitress could have been a bit more friendly/professional, but otherwise really lovely overall.

Oh, and we realized only after enjoying dinner that we had also coincidentally eaten lunch at their Mali Ston location (oysters and mussels) which was also fabulous.

Set in a quiet corner of the old city. this restaurant provides an unusual choice of fish My wife is a lover of oysters: I detest them, but love sachimi.
We were both very happy to have found this quiet corner to sit and enjoy excellent food and wine only yards from the thronging crowds around the harbour. Worth looking for.
