When we first arrived in Hotel Lapad, we didn't really like the room. It was tiny, dark and very old fashioned. At the time. there was some refurbishment of the new wing going on. We asked to change our room and we got a lovely room with a balcony in the new area - very bright and spacious, exactly what we wanted. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast was fabulous, so much choice. The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Dubrovnik, and it is just about a 30 min walk to the old town (which is fabulous with lots of shops, museums, and restaurants). One tip - you don't have to go to the city centre or the old town for fab places to eat, we found a lovely restaurant on the same road as Hotel Lapad (can't remember the name but it was down the road to the right as you come out of the hotel), the food there was amazing and much less expensive than other places. We would really love to return to Hotel Lapad in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony in the newest wing of the hotel if you want something more spacious and modern.

This hotel is beautiful. Room was very nice , breakfasts very good and staff very helpful.
Bus stops outside the hotel from walled city. View in front of hotel is lovely, large lake, cruise ships coming and going and the view at night is lovely.

I love Dubrovnik anyway, but this hotel with it's good food, attentive staff and lovely rooms makes a great base for exploring the local area or yo can just crash by the pool. A short walk from the beach, bars and restaurants or a 5 minute boat ride to the ferry to the Elephiti Islands or even risk the Babin Kuk bus ride into the Old Town each and every one an enlightening and exhilarating experience this hotel is ideal for your stay in this beautiful city.

Room Tip: They are all good even with a partial sea view.
