I stayed two nights at this lovely apartment right in the middle of Dubrovnik's old town. Although small it has all the conveniences one could want, including en suite bathroom and a small kitchen area. It is really clean and the décor is quite funky. The owner is also exceedingly helpful and eager to please. Downsides include having to lug one's luggage as vehicular access is not possible - but if you are fit this really is worth the effort!

Nestling right in the heart of the old city of Dubrovnik, you feel very much part of the excitement and bustle of this absolutely glorious city, rich in architectural jewels and steeped in history. Everyone should visit Dubrovnik, if only once in their lives, particularly in the summer when the streets and squares are lined with wonderful shady places to eat and music abounds in this ancient metropolis. Our apartment was part of this colourful pastiche of life, yet a cool sanctuary to return to in the late evening. Very comfortably furnished with a quirky slant, in shades of ivory, it provided all that you would require for the perfect visit including a small kitchen bar for making snacks, tea and coffee. Tiny roof balcony is also available to all residents, offering wonderful views of this unique city. Our apartment was immaculately clean with plenty of towels, additional pillows and toiletries. The manager was so helpful and made us feel very welcome upon our arrival. This was our first experience of staying in an old town apartment as opposed to a hotel, but we will certainly return as the location certainly made our vacation even more enjoyable.

Room Tip: We had a first floor corner apartment which had windows on two sides. This enabled us to feel very much part of the bustle of life going on around us in the Old City. If you are seeking peace and quiet, then these apartments would not suit you.

We stayed her for 2 nights at the start of September. The apartments are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and the location is second to none! The woman who mets us (I can't remember her name) was so helpful marking different places to eat and visit on the local map.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed in A3 which is on the top floor (below the terrace). It had a lovely bathroom and small kitchen which was great for making breakfast and quick meals.

We booked the Old Town Ivory Appartments back in January. This was to be a special holiday over my wife's birthday on 19th August as we had always gone away on holiday at this time as we were engaged on her 21st birthday back in 1982. Sadly, my wife died suddenly and unexpectedly on 26th July, so I was advised to honour the booking by taking our 28 year old son. I attempted to change the booking to a twin bedded room, but as this was not possible the hotel did offer us a separate room for my son at a nominal fee, which turned out to be the housekeepers accommodation at the top of the hotel.

This hotel is situated right bang in the middle of the Old Town which is a pedestrianised zone with no vehicular access. The taxi drops you outside the Pile Gate and the hotel is situated four streets down on the righthand side of the main street, which is the only street with bollards. The hotel is at the top of the street on the righthand corner. It is situated above a Pizzaria and comprises of six excellently appointed rooms which have been refurbished and presented to a high, modern standard.

On arrival back from a trip on 19th August the head housekeeper, Ljerka had provided flowers in memory of my wife (see attached photograph). Room rates are 90 Euro per room per night (so 45 Euro per person) and are impeccably clean. This is not an unduly expensive premium to pay considering the unique location.

Situtated within in easy walking distance of the entire Old Town for shopping, restaurants, museums, walls, bars and all other amenities.

I can highly recommend this location and once again a very big thankyou to Ljerka who was excellent and displayed a touching quality of humanity and compassion.

Room Tip: There are only six rooms, so the two at the top would be best as they are; closer to the roof top terrace (see photo) and will minimise the level of guests passing your door.
