We stayed here for 4 nights and could not have wished for better accommodation.
The view from our room was wonderful across the suspension bridge, port with cruise ships and of course the blue, blue sea.
The owner and staff were very welcoming and informative, the room was clean and well presented and the pool on the roof great after a day around the old town.
Getting into the old town was simple with the no.6 bus being 100 metres down the road from the apartment, every 15 mins and equivalent to £1.50.
Ideal being away from the old town because local, nearby restaurants were much better value and widely used by the locals so a great recommendation.

My sister and I have just returned from a week stay at Villa Antea which we thoroughly enjoyed. The apartments have numerous positives, however there are also a few negatives.
Upon our arrival at around 11.30am, there was nobody to greet us. We were virtually dumped by our transfer and left to figure out what to do. Eventually a cleaner appeared and let us into our apartment. We were instantly disappointed when we were taken to an apartment on the basement floor. Although the apartment was very spacious, clean and well-equipped, we virtually had no view and looked into the owners tomato garden plus an oil tank. This would not have been as much of a problem if we had paid less than everybody else but we felt slightly peeved as we were paying the same as everyone else in the complex but for the worst view. We requested to move on 2 occasions but with no success. The saving grace of the disappointing view was the rooftop pool area. This is fantastic and is so relaxing. People often complain about the road but it really isn't a big deal and it also provides access to an excellent bus service, the no 6 which has a stop around 100m from the front door. A shop and bakery are also not far away, both which are very reasonably priced.
The pool area, however, is not suitable for young children/families. On our last day a large family arrived with 4 young children and the pool is simply too small to have children running around. It completely takes away from the relaxing atmosphere so for this reason I'd also advise going out with school holidays!
The best part of Villa Antea is by far Damir, the rep. Although his shift didn't start until 2pm so we weren't greeted by him on arrival, he made sure he properly welcomed us with Figs and homemade grappa,
and spent a lot of time explaining to us the best places to eat, drink and visit. Whenever we had any questions, regardless of how stupid or fundamental, Damir was always happy to help and never made us feel like a hassle. He is a real attribute to the apartment complex and is an absolute keeper! The owner is also lovely despite not speaking much english. He's a sweet old man and he and Damir make quite a funny team.

I have just spent 7 nights in there apartments. Initially having booked a twin studio on booking.com , we were given a studio with double bed. However this was changed very quickly. Studio was compact but contained everything you would want, safe (€2 per day) , microwave, toaster, lots of self, cutlery and glasses. I particularly liked the fact that they had a condiment set prefilled! Even washing liquid was provided. No excuses!! Infinity pool is very small and water was very cold but beautiful view over the bay to have your sundowners!!you had to pay in cash on arrival which is a bit of a pain and inconvenient. However kuna or euro were acceptable. Owner is grumpy and his English is poor but his right hand man Damir was fluent and unbelievably helpful. Cleaning lady had excellent English and was really lovely also. Tommys supermarket at the bottom of the hill stocks everything you might need. It's on the number 6 bus line which stops at the gate of the old city and has a great service. We were in apartment 9 and wifi signal was super. Highly recommend for a very quiet base outside the city!
You must visit the number 1 restaurant which is a short walk away Pantarul! Simply sublime! Amazing dining experience!!

I spent a long time looking at trip advisor reviews before booking and am dissapointed that I did not see the problems fully in others reviews. The views are amazing and I think some may have been dazzled into deafness by them. Our apartment was 10 metres from the main road to dubrovnik and is busy 24 hrs a day I am a light sleeper and it was like being on the M25 for me, you could not open bedroom window due to this. The pool views amazing but again it is next to the road with constant traffic noise and the water so cold you could not go in it, the week we stayed only 3 people managed a minute or two!
The apartments have no sound proofing and you can hear every noir from your neighbour- even just normal volume talking. The reception boy is very nice but I explained that the oust was a huge problem for us and he never came back with a different apartment for us.if we could have paid by credit card I feel you would have done come back but as they would only take cash on arrival we were in no position to argue as we had paid.
I will say again beautiful views but no good if you don't like hills

Room Tip: Don't go for room 6 or 7
