This hotel was the best we have ever stayed in as far as service. The people at this hotel are so genuine and do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay. We arrived for our honeymoon after a long day of travelling. They greeted us so warmly and informed us that we had a complimentary upgrade to congratulate us on our honeymoon!

We were given a GORGEOUS room with the most comfortable bed and beautiful view. These rooms are so comfortable and clean. The housekeeping had rose petals and a swan on our bed with a small gift waiting for us. The gift was delicious smelling bath salts. Every night the housekeeping brought a chocolate for our pillow and every morning our room was spick and span before we knew it.

Included in the upgrade we were able to use the Executive lounge which had delicious little appetizers and a full array of beverages available for us! This was sooo wonderful because we really did get tired of paying for a glass of water at every restaurant! What really made this lounge such a gem though was the woman who was there to keep things refreshed and clean. It seemed she was there very often and always greeted us with the warmest smile! What an A+ employee she is!

Another staff member who really went above and beyond was the front desk manager, Martina. I had ripped my eye contact lens at our previous destination (Rome) and was very unhappy about being stuck in my eyeglasses for the rest of our honeymoon. I got the prescription emailed over to me and she told me she would take care of it! And she did almost immediately! She found an optometrist and got the prescription to him and confirmed they would have what I need, set us up with a cab over to the dr.office and it was there waiting for me! What a life saver this was and I appreciated it so very much. The entire front desk, bellboys, breakfast staff (who we saw every morning for the delicious continental breakfast) etc were absolutely amazing.

The only drawback to this hotel was that we found the internet was quite expensive and you have to pay for 24 hours consecutively (you cannot log in and out and use it as you need). This was a bit inconvenient but we were able to very easily find free wifi at every cafe and restaurant that we went to so this was fine. This is something that we found at every hotel we went to in Europe on this trip (Amsterdam, Rome, Dubrovnik and Barcelona) so I think this is just a difference between Canadian and European hotels...

The breakfast was a really nice spread with a nice variety for different tastes and cultures of different travelers. The location is absolutely perfect - right beside the Old Town and with beautiful views of the sea. We were able to walk through the charming Old Town and lay on the beach every day. We went to the EastWest beach club every day where the food, drinks and service were also phenomenal. We really enjoyed the area, the people and the hotel during our stay in Dubrovnik. Needless to say, we cannot wait until we can make our way back to this oh so charming piece of heaven.

Room Tip: Executive lounge makes the upgrade worthwhile Perfect location in Old Town and very close to beach Romantic for honeymooners

This is a lovely hotel in a great part of the city, right at the entrance to the old city. We really enjoyed the executive lounge, but it is only available to Hilton Gold/Platinum members or those that have paid for an upgrade (as we did). Our room and bathroom were spacious and we had a nice little balcony. Our view from the balcony was limited, but was still nice. Unfortunately, there is no wireless in the room and internet is outrageously priced at 23€/day (free for gold/platinum members, but I'm just a lowly silver). There is a mobile device wireless option for 69 kuna/day (approx $12, so still expensive), but it only works in the lounge and lobby. The pool is indoor, which is a a bit of a shame since there are not any beaches in this part of town. The gym is rather small and not all equipment was in working condition. Staff was very friendly and professional. One last thing, the stairs walking up to the hotel are not lit up all night so when returning late in the night, your on your own and it's a bit perilous. All in all, a great place to stay if cost is not an issue.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing Hilton Imperial for your stay in Dubrovnik and for your kind comments. I regret that you were disappointed with your internet connection. At this moment we are in process of implementing wireless internet throughout all the building which will be free of charge in our public areas.
It was a pleasure for me to read that you were very happy with our accommodation, hotel location and that you were satisfied with our Team member’s effort. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed our Executive lounge. It is true, guests who book Executive rooms benefit from exclusive access to the top floor Executive Lounge serving breakfast and all day snacks and beverages. For other room types there is a supplement fee (which can be paid at the front desk) which grants you this benefit.
All guest feedback is extremely important to us, as it is only through constructive criticism that we are able to assess and continuously improve the service standards we strive to achieve. Thank you for your input regarding staircase. Your comments will of course be forwarded to the relevant management for their attention.
Once again thank you for your comments and we look forward to the opportunity to welcoming you back to the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik in the near future.

Kind regards,

This is one of the best Hilton hotels in Europe (and way above US standards), and the location is perfect because you can go by car (with garage) but it is right at the entrance of the Old Town. We loved the Executive Lounge as it had great views, nice snacks all day long, and exceptionally nice service.

The big problem is the internet: no wireless in the room, and the wireless in the lounge is horribly slow (budget 15 min just to log on) and often doesn't work at all. The indoor pool is smallish but ok, sauna is mixed male/female, gym is quite good but limited cardio equipment.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik and for taking the time to review our hotel. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the internet during your stay. Unfortunately at this moment we only offer cable connection in the room, but we began the process of implementing new wireless internet network throughout all the building which will be free of charge in our public areas.
Thank you for complementing our high standards. I’m pleased you remained satisfied with our location and possibilities to park the car within the property. Hotel is really situated just outside of the city walls, on the doorstep of the Dubrovnik Old City.

This Hotel is located across the Pile Gate it takes you 5 minutes to walk across the street and you are at the Old City Dubrovnik! The facade of the Hotel is beautiful and the the hotel is well maintained. It's not a very big hotel compared to other places we have stayed during our trip but we were given a Executive Room with a Balcony, supposedly with view, which was a little disappointing since I was expecting a better view from our room it was in a lower floor and not in the Executive Floor or at least a view of the Old City Dubrovnik, but I was told they gave me a larger room since I needed an extra bed for my daughter so they tried to accommodate by request by giving me a large room with an Obstructed view of the Old City. Additionally, parking is 38 Euros a day and there's no Wi-Fi in the Executive Lounge you have to pay extra for the connection in your room or any place in the hotel. For $500 a night I was expecting free Wi-Fi or at least a view of Old City Dubrovnik, but the Executive Lounge and the Breakfast was excellent. We planned of staying in Dubrovnik for 7 nights, but we decided to shorten our stay and see the other parts of Croatia, the Hilton Manager staff were very accommodating they were able to cut our stay shorter with no penalty. We enjoyed the hospitality of the Staff at the Executive Lounge especially Mariana, she was such a nice Lady, she made Cappuccino every morning and Hot Cocoa for our daughter, also she was so helpful giving us suggestions of what islands to visit like Korcula and Hvar. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent! Thanks to all of the Staff at Hilton Dubrovnik, we had a lovely stay!

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. I am delighted to receive your kind comments. I would only like to clarify that our Executive plus and Guestroom plus are the ones having City or Sea view. All other have a neighbourhood, hill or courtyard view.
Due to the fact that the hotel is situated in the historic building, we do not have an Executive floor. Executive rooms are situated throughout the entire hotel, with access to the Executive Lounge situated on the 4th floor. You will be happy to hear that we are in process of implementing new wireless network through entire hotel building, which will be complimentary in all public areas.
Regarding your wonderful comment on our staff, it was a pleasure to read that our team managed to show what Hospitality means for us!
It is indeed a pleasure for me to note that you enjoyed the Hilton Imperial experience and that you are happy with the hotel ambiance and the services offered.
Looking forward to welcoming you again in Hilton Imperial!

After looking at reviews for the last few years on Dubvrovnik my husband and I finally made the trip. What a wonderful time we had, enjoying a five night stay at The Hilton Imperial. Location perfect for us in that we wanted to be close to the city. Less then a 5 minute walk to Pile gate and we enjoyed several walks each day to explore then returned to cool off before heading out once more.

Room very comfortable, quiet and spacious and we enjoyed lovely views of Dubvronik and the ocean.

The use of the executive lounge was much appreciated for the complimentary beverages and snacks along with the helpful hostesses Marijana and Paula who gave us information, answered numerous questions willingly and were also very attentive to peoples needs.

Use of free WiFi was given to us and appreciated but only received reception in the lounge, not in the room.

A simple but adequate breakfast could be enjoyed in the lounge and and there was a very large selection of food in the dining room, something to suit all tastes.

The swimming pool is an indoor one which we looked at but did not use. There is a nearby cove which is easily walked to. Be mindful that the beaches are not sandy-at least none we saw. Good beach shoes would have been useful to clamber over the stones, the sea looks so inviting it is a shame not to have a dip.

All the staff we met were helpful and friendly and we were made to feel welcome.

A great place to visit and to return to.

Room Tip: If the budget allows, go for a room on the executive floor with use of the lounge and one with a sea view as it is a joy to look out on.

Dear Guest,

First and foremost we would like to thank you for taking the time to write about your stay at the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik on the Tripadvisor. Thank you for complementing our hotel, the room amenities and our location. Hotel is really situated just outside of the city walls, on the doorstep of the Dubrovnik Old City. I’m glad you enjoyed our nearby beach. For the next time, check with our Concierge, among other tips he can show you how to get to the other, pebble-sandy beach, just outside the city walls.
Regarding the WIFI connection; it is still not available throughout entire hotel, but we are in the middle of project which will provide this service, even complimentary in the public area. It was a pleasure to read that our team managed to show what Hospitality means for us! We are very proud that our friendly and efficient team members met your expectations!
