I stayed at the Berkeley for 4 nights.
I prefer small hotels, and my stay here confirmed why.
The service, friendliness and contact with the staff = outstanding. They are helpful and do everything with a smile.
Thank you Mariana, Eva and the ladies at reception for making my stay so pleasant.
The room I had was big, with a good size bathroom and small balcony. The room comes equipped with a fridge and kettle with complimentary tea and coffee.
Breakfast was more than adequate, especially for a 3* hotel. I had to leave early on two occasions, and they were very accommodating.
There is a big supermarket close by, and many good restaurants.
The bus stop to the old city is also close to the hotel.
I would have stayed much longer if it was possible.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a very friendly hotel with nice staff. I and my wife spent three nights there on a long weekend in mid March, out of season. The room rate was thus very reasonable. We liked our spacious double room with comgortable large bed, view over the Gruz harbour and balcony terrace and table with two chairs (which was too cold to use at this time of year). The hotel has a pool which was closed for the winter. The rooms have a small dual-use aircon unit on the wall which is the only source of heating in cold weather. I would encourage the hotel to conduct annual maintenance on its aircons (probably needed a refill of fluid) to make sure they work properly. I also recommend they install better ventillation in the bathrooms and modernise the lock on the room door, and check that all the wall sockets work. People should also be aware that this hotel is not in town, and not much is open nearby in the off-season. But there is a good bus service to the old town.

Room Tip: Ask for sea views.

Dear pwhumph

Thank you for your review. We would like to inform that we annually undertake detailed maintenance of our air conditioners (this year it was done in February just prior to your stay). We would have happily assisted you in adjusting the settings if you were feeling cold. We have looked into the other problems you have addressed and all have been fixed. We hope these issues didn't cause inconvenience in your holiday as they could have all been quickly and easily fixed if you mentioned them during your stay.

Hope to see you again in Dubrovnik, possibly when the weather is warmer so you can enjoy the pool and balcony terrace.

Kindest regards
Katarina

After being diverted to split on our arriving flight and the resulting 4 hour bus ride it was so lovely to be greeted by the friendly receptionist. All the staff seemed genuinely to enjoy working there and couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast was fantastic too, loved having the hot food to order fresh rather than it sitting around like in other hotels. It’s very close to bus links and I’d definitely recommend as a base when visiting Dubrovnik

this hotel was one of the best places we have stayed in eastern europe.
nothing was too much touble eva the receptionist as all of the reception staff were brilliant the guy who was there at night was also very good the hotel was cleanand tidy the standards were very high indeed we did not use the spa as we were busy doing other stuff during our stay in dubrovnic.
as regular travellers into europe we were impressed enough to write this review.
we wish all the staff the very best for the future and thank you for the great service the lady who served breakfast every morning was a delight and even organised our taxi for the bus station on the last day as it was raining hard well done to all of you and we would not hesitate to stay with you again keith sharon and chris from the uk
