The hotel is very historic with Egypt history over almost one century is surrounding you. In spite of that, it is clean and located in wonderful garden.

Food is very delicious and staff are extremely friendly.

While it's not near the city center, it is quiet and peaceful. Take a walk along the beach for a nice respite from sightseeing. Room 611 has a balcony overlooking the pool and private beach; very comfortable king bed, tub with shower, mini fridge, 2 chairs, desk. The Alexandrina restaurant buffet breakfast has a huge selection; a la carte for dinner. La Piazza has pizza, pasta, risotto and mains. There are other eateries. The bar/lounge is on the lower level, behind unmarked doors.

I might be biased as I fell in love with the place a long time ago. This hotel sits on one of the most romantic spots ever. Magnificent views from every room. Loads of history in every inch of the hotel and the surrounding Royal Grounds. One side faces the famous El Montazah bay, bridge and a private beach. Other side faces the Royal Palace.

The hotel itself is amazing with very helpful and polite staff. It totally deserves 5 stars for hospitality, cleanliness, views, comfort and facilities.

Some renovation is underway as expected during the winter months so expect some noise. Some furniture and bathroom pieces might need replacement.

The hotel although old is very clean well maintained with stunning views from almost all rooms for one of the greatest palaces of Egypt Al Montazah palace and its small bay. Very helpful staff with a variety of restaurants. Only one comment if you are a big group with some wanting sushi and some wanting Italian you have to split since you can’t be in one and get food from the other !
Rooms are spacious, balconies are super even with heavy wind
