Very relaxing gardens with different types of flowers and tress. The palace gardens has hotels and restaurants, cafes and private beaches. It is fun to spend a days there. Not to forget the historic value of the place

This is an old palace used by kings, later converted to an official residence for President of Egypt.
It is a good picnic spot for the locals & young couples. children will have vast areas to play and run around in beautiful gardens.
One edge of the garden is blessed with Mediterranean Sea, this gives a terrific view from the garden.
Unfortunately, the Palace was closed for renovations at the time we have visited in March 2018, so that we could not enter. Hence, it was just a photo stop for us. Busses can drive inside, hence you need not to walk a lot. I think there was an entrance fee.

One of my favourite Facebook pictures I have is from my visit to the Palace and the gardens. Very easy to visit when you stay at the Helnan Palestine as it is right on your doorstep. If you stayed in other parts of Alexandra you may miss this great location. Make it a must see. Thanks My travel agent for being a specialist in Egyptian history and great holidays.
