Situated in heart of the old town itis ideally placed to explore the towm. Small hotel only 12 rooms traditionally furnished with balcony iutside room door to sit and enjoy quiet. Next door to a temple need to be prepared fpr bells at 6am. The monks go down street outside each morning and worth getting up for. Rooms have beautiful wooden floors and are very comfortable. Breakfast served until 0930 in courtyardi. Fresh eggs cooked on demsnd staff are pleasant and helpful. Much bdtter than staying in big chains

Villa Saykham is good value for a guest house stay at $30-35 US per night approx. (Book via hotel website)
It has a good location near the night markets (which is where everyone generally ends up at night) and it is very close to good restaurants like Cafe Toui and the new friends International restaurant Khaiphaen, as well as the Mekong riverfront and Xiang Muane area. Room B1 is a good pick on the ground floor, nearest to the outdoor eating area.
However, possibly a room upstairs would be more private and quieter.
Breakfast is eggs, baguette, fruit, juice and coffee and is included in the price.

This is a nice, quiet, hotel, just around the corner from the "beaten path." Luang Prabang is fairly small and easily walkable so you are never really far from anything. The rooms are modest, but clean and comfortable.

You probably want to be aware that the monastery next door will start their “gongs” at about, but for the most part it is quiet. The famed monks procession goes past the hotel as well, though at this point they have turned the corner and are spreading out a bit.

While on the topic, the monks procession should be treated with respect, so getting right up in their face and flashing your camera is considered rude and disrespectful. Unfortunately, people will do it. So, if you want to be the ugly tourist you now know how to insure the moniker.

The night market is also very nice and a short walk away as are many restaurants. The walk to the river is also just a short distance (see pics_ Overall, a great location.

Situated in the old town, this hotel is ideally situated for most that this lovely town has to offer. The hotel provides good accommodation, nice bedrooms and what proved to be an excellent breakfast. The staff were always helpful and seemed keen for the guest to be happy.

Very good place that I recommend. it's right in the heart of the old town of Luang Prabang. You can to everything by foot. The breakfast is good, the service is good and the rooms are nice, clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Every room has a little private outside space. The inside courtyard is lovely and you can have breakfast there. The only down side is that the WiFi is very very slow... We unfortunately had 2 days of very heavy rain. Could not do much. Well, you could not surf either...
