Excellent location. On hyper intensive main traffic artery Medina Road, hence can be noisy and lights flash into the room constantly. Nice rectangular open air pool (ca 15meters) with 1.8m depth. Rooms are clean, though black granit surface in bathroom got white staines from the water. Good to receive people given the location. Plenty of taxis in front of hotel. A mall exactly in front with all you need (e.g cheap laundry, chargers, luggage shops, barber etc.). It is however more expensive than the other hotels in the area such as the brand new Novotel.

Room tip: A room away from Medina Road

Overall my experience at the hotel was positive. The hotel it self is in need of room refurbishment. There were small stains on the room carpet and the water pressure in the shower was near non existent mid day, The negatives are more than made up with the staffs positive attitude and professionalism. There are plenty of places to eat locally and it is located next to a shopping center which can help with last minute purchases. I will return to the Le Meridian, it is mid level in price in a Saudi city with high hotel rates, and worth a shot if you can get a good rate. . .

Finding good quality price accommodation in Jeddah is very hard. Options are either the unbranded hotels (full of them with very low levels of quality, food, ammenities, and most important cleanliness) of the high end hotels with very high price tags.
Le Meridien is a decent option between both, is a good business hotel, kind of old, but at least is clean, well located and with good service.

All in all a good option if you want to keep your budget within the 200USD range
