Parking is a big issue but this is not unique to Savas, but the whole area near U of M campus. Once you find parking, if it’s paid, plan on at least 2 hours because you will wait to get into Savas, especially at night. The seating hostesses are professional but could be more friendly to guests as they wait. I definitely recommend you call ahead if you are able as this is not a very big restaurant. Started with the ahi tuna poke. The tuna was good though slightly fishy and fatty but the taro chips were excellent. Our entrees included the black bean burger with avocado, Mahi mahi fish tacos and the hippi bowl (a vegan dish). The black bean burger was very good, dense but fairly moist and well seasoned with a little sirracha kick. The hippi bowl has a light dressing that really compliments the ingredients. The fish tacos were blackened and not friend so it was substantial but not heavy. Overall, good food and worth the wait and trouble with parking.
