Part of the problem was that this location is tucked in the middle of Maynard Street without great signage and we went the night of the U of M Semifinal game so ScoreKeepers was packed with hundreds of people and at least a half dozen police cars on the street making it hard to find. We were getting take out to watch the game and I finally had to park almost two blocks away illegally and hoof it to try to find the place. Well, it was worth the looking. Nothing special at all about the building/decor, but the food was really good and quite reasonable. We had the Butter Chicken and it was excellent. The color was really nice and flavors exceptional. I could have used a little more heat, but I like it spicy. We also had the Tika Masala and that was very good as well. We will definitely go back when we can sit down!

This is one of our favorite Indian restaurants in Ann Arbor, and for lunch it is a regular haunt. Their buffet (only available at lunch) is varied, delicious, reasonably priced, and (important for lunch on work days) fast. From UMich's main campus, cross State at the NW corner of the Diag, cut through Nickel's Arcade (a fun walk in itself), and just cross Maynard St.

I went with 3 other friends and we were all pleasantly surprised with the flavors of our dishes and the prompt service. We shared all our dishes and were happy with everything we tasted.
They were also able to accomodate us easily with two wheelchairs. The food came quicly and yet we did not feel rushed. We lingered and savored our meals and felt very welcomed.

This restaurant lives up to its name. Those who understand Indian cuisine know that the more south you move in india the hotter the food gets.
Madras or Chennai is fairly south in India and so the food is typically hot.
We stopped for the lunch buffet.
The Kerala fish fry was amazing. So was the goat curry.
Vadas and dosas are yummy and vegetarian dishes are nice as well. We really enjoyed the desert section. Yes! 4 different deserts in a buffet can qualify as a section!
Remember to drink lots of water if you are not used to the hot food, but this will tantalize your taste buds!

I have enjoyed the buffet lunch twice and dinner over the past two months. Delicious curries, flavorful naan and a yummy rice pudding and mango mousse (lunch buffet). My only complaint is the service is pretty slow.
