We both got lobsters which were very good. Service was a bit slow but we were in no hurry. Wait staff tries very hard. Their wine list could be improved. one of my favorites from the original Sandy Point was their lobster pie. They do not offer it - maybe next season?

Sandy Point is a great place that we often forget about. The Lobsta' is very fresh and other seafood selects are gret too.

We had been coming to the old Sandy's Point for over 15 years during which the place was packed with vacationers on Lake Winnipesaukee. We tried it recently when under new management. There were only 2 tables filled, and although some in my party liked the stuff lobster and our waitress was very attentive, the food and ambiance are not worth the extremely high prices. Until they make major changes to the menu, bring the prices down by $10 per plate at least and/or renovate for a better customer experience, skip this place for now.

This Lake Winnipeasaukee institution reopened a few weeks ago with new owners and a familiar menu. Lobster and roast beef are featured along with a number of other seafood choices.

Our group of seven adults and two children shared two orders of steamers and one of fried calamari. The adults all had boiled lobster -- which came with rolls, two vegetables and a side salad. They offered more than a dozen craft beers on tap as well as many bottled beers. The wine list was fairly limited but the selections were good and very attractively priced. Service was good as Lori our waitress was extremely attentive.

Our only criticism relates to prices which were more like those of a big-city, white-tablecloth restaurant than those of a summer resort. In addition, "specials" like twin lobsters (or surf&turf) were the same price as if one ordered two lobster dinners (or a lobster and a roast beef dirrner).

We are heartily recommending Sandy Point to friends who had written it off after the inferior offerings of two previous owners. Hopefully, increased traffic will allow the new management to trim prices.
