Hotel Cortez is located in the 3rd ring of Santa Cruz across from the main police station. it has a restaurant, with a very good breakfast, a pool, a gym, great service and large rooms with an excellent shower. the city has grown so much, so quickly, that the newer barrios have moved away from the hotel. the hotel is about a 15 to 20 minute
walk from the main square and a ten to 15 minute drive to the newer part of the city.
the hotel could use a facelift, but the rooms are comfortable.

We have been at the Cortez three times, we couldn't even consider going to another hotel. The staff is so friendly and efficient, they make you feel at home. Lovely rooms, a charming patio with an inviting swimming pool and plenty of spaces where one can relax and enjoy.. Wonderful breakfast with a generous variety of fresh fruits.
Although there are many good restaurants in the vicinity, it is a good idea to dine right there, great food!

Very Nice hotel, comfy beds, great staff (absolutely corteous and friendly), excelente breakfast, everything is sparkling clean, wifi strong . Downtown location close to several restaurantes and bars.
