I don't understand the good reviews for this hotel, when there are so many others in Siem Reap that do better. The wifi is terrible - slow and regularly disconnected. The rooms are vast for sure, but apart from the bed (if you like them rock hard), none of the furniture is comfortable. There is not one comfy place to sit in the entire hotel, just giant wooden furniture everywhere. Full of loud tour groups. Actually, the only justification for this hotel's existence would be to accommodate tour groups and bus them straight to the temples without every interacting with the town. If you are organising your own trip, DO NOT stay here. Choose one of the boutique hotels, for $40 to $60 you can have a MUCH nicer experience.

One positive: the food was good and the staff were nice.

Room Tip: It's either pool view, side view with a little bit of greenery, or road view. Depends what you like.

Angkor Wat is the most attracting to tourists who usually spend the time to visit Siem Reap, but we have to find a good accommodation and services for making our stay feel comfortable.
I stayed in Angkor Era for 2 nights, it may consider a short trip to Siem Reap as I have another trip to Phnom Penh. room is large with balcony and wooden floor, hotel is very clean and fully set up for International buffet breakfast. very large pool and garden around pool and hotel, easy to find the parking lot if you traveling with own vehicle, staffs are very welcome and smiley, tour desk you can ask any information related to the trip to Angkor temples, they also provide the map to the temple. evening you can visit to town by using tuk tuk (moto trailer) in front the hotel if you don't want to drive with busy traffic.
I would recommend to tourist who want to get peace rest avoiding from a crowded area and the nearest to Angkor temples.

Room Tip: Pool view with large garden and balcony

I often go to Siem Reap, and have sampled many hotels, from the simple guesthouse to the lavish 5 star, and have enjoyed or even loved them all.
Not this one! Considering the sheer quality of accommodation around Siem Reap, this hotel stands out for its poor quality especially considering its pretence of luxury.
The location is very far out of town, along dusty National road 6, so you cannot just go out for a stroll to find a pleasant cafe.
The large rooms come with massive furniture that makes you wonder how many unfortunate old trees (teak?) were sacrificed to make the rooms look grand and feel uncomfortable.
There is no outdoor coffee shop - all the restaurant or cafe facilities are inside in gloomy cavernous decor.
The food is of a lower standard than you would expect for this category of hotel.
Internet strength is highly variable depending on where your room is located.
The only positive feature I found was the hard bed (but then others may not like this).
In summary, considering the wealth of charming accommodation, from luxury to guesthouse, afforded in Siem Reap, I do not recommend this hotel.
