Owner description: Banteay Srei or Banteay Srey is a 10th-century Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Located in the area of Angkor, it lies near the hill of Phnom Dei, 25 km north-east of the main group of temples that once belonged to the medieval capitals of Yasodharapura and Angkor Thom.

A smaller temple, again plenty of history and many carvings to see and of course very picturesque too. Again ensure you have water on hand. Many stalls surround these places and you will get hassled! Great architecture to admire as always.

a little further than angkor but it’s also a little different and the carvings seem more detailed. after concluding my temple touring, i appreciate bayon and banteay srei most.

Bit of a drive out, but well worth it. Some amazing carvings and a really nice setting. Stood out from all the other temples as being a bit different in style and setting. Got very hot!!

You’ll want to make sure this is on your must see list at Angkor Wat National Park. Consider hiring a driver and English tour guide to get the most out of your visit.

The artwork relief on the stones is perhaps the best of the temples in the area. It's a longer bus ride but our group all agreed it waswell worth it.
