“Nice Tourist Street”
Review of Baquedano Street

Arrived off a cruise ship and decided to walk around the area. There are not too many shops/restaurants, and a lot of the buildings were empty and in disrepair. This street does have the potential to be great if they can get more vendors in to draw both locals/tourists. The building owners need to put $ in to their property to get businesses in. We wandered around, and didn't feel there was much to offer.

We visited on a Friday, and it was like a ghost town. Many of the places along the Street were closed or boarded up. Almost all were in disrepair. There was one lovely purple hotel that had been well kept. There were places to eat and folks were selling trinkets up and down the street and in the plaza. There was a slow train that we rode from one end to the other. The wooden clock tower in the central plaza was very pretty. There doesn’t seem to be much to see or do in Iquique.

If you have lots of time go there, nothing special, just fake artisans stuff
Regular to bad restaurants not view, really doesn’t worth

We loved the stores, architecture and entertainment along this road. It has everything you need and more. Definitely a must see if you are in Iquique. Kind of like Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
