If, Hotel IF, is the question the answer should be “no thank you”
They say you get a welcome drink. We didn’t. We didn’t even get a welcome and when reception deigned to acknowledge our presence we were allowed to check in. Why didn’t we ask for our drink?; think we were lucky to be offered a room.....
We weren’t told anything so had to ask where breakfast might be, when it was available.
Other receptionists, later, were pleasant and maybe that one had a bad day, but first impressions, etc, to paying (a lot) guests?
Our room was on second floor. There are no lifts. There was no one to help with suitcases and it was not an easy climb.
There was no suggestion of assistance.
It was also not worth it when we did get to the room.
The rooms are very small but it did say that on web site. What it didn’t say was it was also extremely hot. Uncomfortably hot. Been in colder saunas. Left windows wide open (as did other rooms we noticed when outside) but room was still too hot. We tried turning vent one way one night, other way next, but never went below uncomfortably hot.
No real facilities in room. Shower doors old fashioned plastic on runners and not easy to use. Water takes ages to get hot (ironic considering room temperature).

There’s not a lot positive about IF. Location is good, WiFi good, but that’s about it. For the price (not cheap!) could have been better elsewhere and certainly more comfortable and welcoming!
If you think of staying at IF, don’t.

Stayed just one night on a tour. This hotel is a modern design using eco principal to utilise solar heating with a huge glass wall. Very warm despite gales blowing outside. Bed comfortable and room spotlessly clean. Good selection for breakfast. Has a viewing platform to view the lake and city, and no doubt sunbathe on occasions. Staff very friendly. Well recommended

Very friendly & accommodating staff - they spoke English well. Impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere.
Sauna on site that was perfect after a chilly day in the mountains.
Lovely breakfast made to order with many choices.
Had an excellent dinner next door at Santola - our favorite in Puerto Natales. Highly recommend the king crab and guanaco stew dishes.

This hotel was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was typical of most hotels on our trip but they also made eggs to order. There was a good selection of food. The location of the hotel was very close to restaurants, money exchange places, shopping and the grocery store. If you go to the grocery store bring your own bags because the grocery stores do not supply bags. The staff was very helpful and informative. They spoke very good English.

The location is nice. Very quiet when we were there, just a few minutes from the sea front. Rooms are simple but comfortable. It was a nice stay that we all enjoyed for one night on our way between Punta Arenas and Torres del Paine
