“Rich address, poor interior”

This place has not had a renovation since approximately 20 years ago or more. The interior is dingy lit; light fixtures and ceiling tiles are dilapidated; the environment is dingy. Staff is unfriendly and busy without serving this table. They show up once to take order and once to bring the bill and cannot be located between those two events.

The food is always consistent, the service does need some work. The filet and lobster tail is always my favorite.

Kiku Alpine was always a special treat good food great service. However times have changed. My family and I have been coming here for over 12 years and this was always a family favorite. I am sure it has changed hands and unfortunately it seems the new owners are content living off the old rep and not earning or trying to achieve a new one.
We waited 25 minutes for drinks. We had our soup and salad before we received them. The show and dinner was good but nothing special. Chef did all the standard tricks and was pleasant however we never saw the waiter again. We had walk over to get his attention as he was too busy on his phone and talking with other waiter to look up. After dinner waited another 30 minutes for the check. We were never offered coffee or desert. For a $240.00 dinner for 4. With just dinner no special appetizer'a or desert and poor service just wasn't worth it. And could t even get a drink. Very disappointed. We did mention this to the manager and all he said was "yes I know". A simple sorry or just the appearance that he cared would have helped.

They broke all basic restaurant rules. Most of the staffs looked so stern with the chewing gum (3 including reception woman), tables and glasses had dirty smears, the server couldn't remember orders and mixed up dishes even we repeated x 3 and did the same to next customers on the same table, chef tried to perform a little bit and a lot of boring jokes, the shrimps, lobster tail and steaks were all over cook! Hibachi means performance and showmanship. It was that bad and I wished my money back!

This restaurant is amazingly consistent and always good. It's like Benihana on steroids - the portions are bigger, the quality is better and the menu is much more varied. I've been here numerous times and the food is always delicious, the table side show never gets old and the chefs always seem to be having a good time. Note that it can get pricy so keep an eye on what you order. If you get there early for your reservation have a drink in the lounge - it's like taking a trip back to the seventies.
